The Park at the Mall of America®
The Park at MOA, the largest indoor amusement park in the United States, is one of the main attractions, covering over seven acres of exciting rides and entertainment. Camp Snoopy was the original name of The Park, with the overall theme based upon characters from the cartoon strip “Peanuts.” Charles Schultz, the creator of this comic strip, was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. However, on January 19, 2006, the name was changed to The Park at MOA and the original characters are no longer there. Other comic strip characters, such as Paul Bunyan, Woodstock, and Sponge Bob Square Pants are now featured at The Park.
A glass ceiling and abundance of natural foliage within and around The Park, as well as varying ground level heights, add a realistic touch to the indoor environment. The Park is open 364 days (closed on Christmas Day) from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
