Anchor Stores at the Mall of America®

Come to the Mall with a Healthy Appetite

What many people love though, is dining at Mall of America. With 20 sit-down restaurants, 30 fast food restaurants, and 36 specialty food stores, it would be literally impossible to not find just the meal you are looking for at Mall of America.

If you are looking for a quick meal during one of your hikes through the mall or during your adventure through the amusement park, Mall of America offers a variety of food at its many fast food restaurants. If you’re hungry for a good old-fashioned hamburger or hot dog, then inside the mall itself there are A&W Hot Dogs and More, Burger King, Dairy Queen, and McDonalds. There is also a Burger King at the amusement park, plus Pronto Pups and More, and Burger Zone Express. If you are leaning more toward some Mexican fast food, than you can visit Taco Bell or Baja Tortilla Grill inside the mall, or there’s a Taco Bell at the amusement park. If Chinese fast food sounds better, than you can visit Panda Express – there’s one inside the mall as well as at the amusement park. For Japanese fast food fare, there’s Asian Chao/Maki of Japan and Little Tokyo inside the mall. The most difficult part of eating a fast food meal at Mall of America is deciding where to eat. Fortunately, Mall of America offers a guide for those who are shopping at the mall or visiting the amusement park attractions, which makes the decision a little bit easier!

For those who want to sit down to a relaxing meal, Mall of America also has many restaurants to choose from. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., named after the company owned by Forest Gump in the hit movie of the same name, is not only a great place to relax and enjoy a meal, it is also fun! With shrimp being their specialty, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. offers such delicious entrees as shrimp steamed in beer, Cajun shrimp, and Mama Blue’s Southern Charmed Fried Shrimp. For those who want something other than shrimp, you can get rib-eye steak, fried chicken, or baby back ribs. Although the food is delicious, the prices for meals are very reasonable, so you can bring the whole family and not worry about your budget. Located near the south lot at Mall of America, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is a definite favorite of locals and tourists alike. The atmosphere is light and cheerful in this restaurant, and it’s one that everyone should try.

The Rainforest Café at the Mall of America is a rainforest-themed establishment, located near the south lot, which serves delicious food in a delightful atmosphere. From pizza to blue-crab dip to buffalo wings, the Rainforest Café serves a wide variety of food. It’s a great choice for a family dinner, and the prices won’t hurt your wallet at all. Tucci Benucch is a beautiful country-style Italian restaurant located on the west side of the Mall of America. One of the definite favorites of those who visit the mall, Tucci Benucch serves their own thin crust pizza, gnocchi, fresh fish dishes, chicken dishes, and daily specials. The atmosphere at Tucci Benucch is warm and homey, and guests can eat in the “living room”, sunroom, patio, or even the barn! Diners at Tucci Benucch remark often about how the portions are large, yet the prices are reasonable.

Along with these excellent restaurant choices, Mall of America also has Tony Roma’s, Ruby Tuesday, Kokomo’s Island Café, and Hooters – just to name a few.

One special dining experience offered at Mall of America is the Tunnel of Love Valentine’s Day Dining Event hosted each year at Mall of America’s Underwater Adventures® Aquarium. Located under the mall, the Underwater Adventures® Aquarium is the world’s largest underwater aquarium, housing over 4,500 sea creatures – including sharks! On Valentine’s Day, and usually one other day to handle the overflow, a romantic dinner is served right inside the viewing area, with a delicious gourmet menu chosen each year. This event is so popular that it is sells out every year.

For those shoppers who are looking for specialty or gourmet foods that they can buy for a gift or simply to take home, Mall of America offers many specialty food stores; such as Auntie Anne’s, Gloria Jean’s Gourmet Coffee, Godiva Chocolatier, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Pretzel Time, Rybicki Cheese, and Teavana. One of the favorite specialty stores for many shoppers at Mall of America is “P.B. Loco, The Peanut Butter Experience”. Not only does P.B. Loco serve some of the strangest (and most delicious) peanut butter sandwiches you’ve ever eaten, they also sell an amazing variety of flavored peanut butters. If you’re looking for something different in a peanut butter, you can try a jar of their Jungle Banana Premium Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter with Raspberry White Chocolate, Peanut Butter with European Café Mocha, or even their Peanut Butter with Asian Curry Spice. Now that is an adventure!

For wine connoisseurs, Old Vine Wine and Spirits is a great place to find just the wine you are looking for. Specializing in wines that are more rare or unique than average, Old Vine Wine and Spirits is the perfect place to find a bottle of wine for a very special occasion, or to add to or complete your wine cellar collection.

Dining at the Mall of America is an experience that nobody should miss. Mall of America has something for everyone who visits, and that includes the best food in town!
